# AI data leak prevention for the agentic era

AI agents are becoming non-human actors inside every company. They access data, use tools, and take action on their own. Sealgate exists to give security teams visibility and control over what those agents do, so organisations can adopt AI without leaking their data.

Our mission

Traditional role-based access control and data security break down with agentic AI. Agents connect to existing software through MCP and tool calls, bypassing access controls that were designed for humans. Most security leaders lack holistic visibility into how AI agents interact with company data, and surveys show a majority of business and IT leaders believe AI risks are outpacing their expertise.

Sealgate closes that gap. We give security, IT, and compliance teams one place to govern how every agent accesses data, so they can sign off on AI faster and let their teams use it safely. Instead of blocking AI adoption or hoping probabilistic filters catch a leak, Sealgate enforces deterministic policy on every tool call and keeps a complete record of what happened.

What Sealgate does

## Govern how agents access data

Sealgate sits between any AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot, and others) and your organisation's data sources, giving security, IT, and compliance one control plane over how every agent connects to real data.

## Deterministic runtime enforcement

Policies are enforced at the tool-call level with deterministic controls, not probabilistic guardrails. Every action is checked against company data policy before it runs, and a live risk score is assigned to each one.

## Shadow MCP discovery

The Sealgate desktop daemon detects unauthorized tool servers the moment they appear on a device, so new MCP servers cannot quietly widen an agent's reach without an admin knowing.

## Session monitoring and audit trails

Security teams get real-time visibility into every agent action, data flow, and external service contact, backed by a complete system of record covering who did what, when, and why.

## SIEM integration

Audit events stream to Splunk HEC or custom HTTP endpoints, so agentic activity lands in the same tooling your team already uses to watch the rest of the estate.

The company

Sealgate is built by a team that has worked at the edge of cybersecurity and AI, drawing on experience from organisations including CrowdStrike, Synopsys, Wayve, Citadel Securities, and the University of Oxford. The company was founded by Eito Miyamura, whose research on how AI agents can be manipulated into leaking private data has been covered by the security and mainstream tech press.
