Yes. Town adds the SealGate gateway as a remote MCP server, which lets it use your Messenger tools. A local daemon tunnels the connector out, so even Town running in the cloud can reach it. Can ChatGPT or Claude send Facebook Messenger messages? Yes. Once you connect Messenger through SealGate, your agent can read your chats and send messages to contacts or groups, whether it runs locally or in the cloud like the ChatGPT and Claude apps. Do I need a Facebook Page or the Messenger Platform API? No. SealGate connects to your own Messenger account through the Beeper desktop app, so there is no Page or Messenger Platform app to set up. Is it safe to give an AI agent access to Messenger? Your Messenger login is never stored on SealGate's servers. Every tool call runs through SealGate policy checks and an audit log that captures only metadata (which tool ran, when, and which agent ran it), never your message content, so you stay in control without SealGate storing your messages. What does SealGate store about my messages? SealGate routes each tool call to your connector and back, holding the request and response in memory only long enough to apply your policies, then discarding them. That check is automated: the gateway inspects the traffic programmatically to enforce your rules, and no one at SealGate can read your messages. They are never persisted and never used to train any model. SealGate keeps only call metadata (which tool ran, when, and which agent ran it), never the tool-call parameters or results, so your conversations and who you are talking to are never stored on SealGate's servers.
