Yes. OpenClaw adds the SealGate gateway as an MCP server, which lets it use your Telegram tools. A local daemon tunnels the connector out, so the self-hosted agent can reach it. Can my AI agent read and send Telegram messages? Yes. Once connected through SealGate, your agent can read chats, groups, and channels and send messages, from local tools or cloud apps like ChatGPT and Claude. Does it use a bot or my real account? Your real account, through the Beeper desktop app, so the agent sees the same conversations you do rather than only the channels a bot has been added to. Can it watch busy group chats for me? Yes. A common use is lurking on large community groups and channels to summarize activity and flag the messages worth your attention. What does SealGate store about my messages? SealGate routes each tool call to your connector and back, holding the request and response in memory only long enough to apply your policies, then discarding them. That check is automated: the gateway inspects the traffic programmatically to enforce your rules, and no one at SealGate can read your messages. They are never persisted and never used to train any model. SealGate keeps only call metadata (which tool ran, when, and which agent ran it), never the tool-call parameters or results, so your conversations and who you are talking to are never stored on SealGate's servers. Does it work with cloud agents, not just CLI tools? Yes. A small local daemon called stdiod tunnels your local Telegram connector to any cloud or mobile agent, so apps like ChatGPT and Claude can use it too, not just CLI tools on the same machine.
